Testimonials
Can you use telehealth for strep throat?
Yes, telehealth can be used for diagnosing and treating strep throat. Healthcare providers can evaluate symptoms, prescribe antibiotics, and offer guidance through virtual appointments.
What questions to ask for strep throat?
When concerned about strep throat, ask your healthcare provider questions like:
“”Do my symptoms indicate strep throat?””
“”What tests are needed for a definitive diagnosis?””
“”What treatment options are available?””
“”How can I manage pain and discomfort?””
“”Is it safe to return to work or school?””
How contagious is strep throat through talking?
Strep throat is highly contagious through talking, coughing, and sneezing. It spreads through respiratory droplets containing the bacteria, making close contact with an infected person a common way to contract the illness.
What is a common misdiagnosis of strep throat?
A common misdiagnosis of strep throat is confusing it with a viral sore throat or other respiratory infections. Since strep throat shares symptoms with these conditions, a throat culture or rapid strep test is essential for accurate diagnosis.
